So...the other day when an anonymous commenter suggested a become a stay-at-home mom and suggested farm related stuff, I reacted a lot harsher than I should have. And while it may not matter now, I apologize. But as a result of someone thinking it's okay to hide behind the anonymity of the internet and say rude things to me (I didn't publish the last comment s/he left me because it was rude. And since it's my blog, I can do that.), I am no longer allowing anonymous commenting on my blog. If someone wants to leave a comment, s/he needs to have a registered account.

well I'm going home back to the place where I belong and where your love has always been enough for me
So...I haven't posted in about two weeks. That's because I was busy moving to a new state and settling in. I'm still not sure if I like it here. I can't say that I hate it or even that I don't like it. It's just different than what I'm used to. And I'll be honest, I miss home. ::shrug:: I'm hoping that once I find a job, I'll like it better because then I'll have met some new people and won't feel so alone. Yes, I live in a pretty awesome townhome with my pretty awesome fiancé, but one other person and two kittens do not make for a great social circle, lol.
Anyway, the area seems pretty nice. Yeah, the first thing I see when I leave the apartment complex is a corn field and some cows. And when you look at the Google Maps directions to anywhere from here, it looks super far away...but nothing seems to be more than about 15 minutes away. And that's not all that different from home. I mean, there is a Walmart, a GameStop, a Dollar Tree, a Verizon store, a Home Depot and a bunch of other stores and restaurants less than two miles from the new place. Just there isn't much within safe walking distance. Sidewalks seem to be non-existent and there's a highway in the way for walking to the Walmart and Home Depot shopping areas.
But hey, this morning, the woman who does the hiring, for a place I applied to yesterday afternoon, called for a preliminary phone interview. She said that either way she will let me know by Friday. My fingers are crossed that she calls me Friday with good news. :)
